ALLISON BEREYis a highly accomplished and results-oriented leader with over 30 years of experience gained in the U.S. and globally, across a wide range of industries. She enjoys collaborating with CEO’s and their C-Suite teams as a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, working primarily with mid-market and private equity backed companies.
Allison scales down strategic marketing methodology and tools proven in large corporate settings to help high-growth companies focus through category reframing, strategic narrative development, ROI focus and aligned execution. She is somewhat atypical as a Marketing leader in her analytical and business-model grounded approach, and her work as a Fractional CMO often has game-changing impact. Allison sees Marketing as the strategic core of the C-suite and endeavors to help Marketing teams contribute at their highest value-added level.
Allison has divided her career between working as a consultant and in corporate leadership roles, achieving measurable success in professional services, financial services, and many business-to-business verticals. This balanced background enables her to fuse an understanding of both how management thinks and how consultant recommendations can be effectively implemented.
In previous work with Fortune 500 consumer and B2B companies in the US and globally, Allison led a broad range of corporate-wide new market entry and strategic marketing initiatives. As the Chief Marketing Officer for national law firm, she built a national Marketing and Business Development platform during the firm’s period of rapid expansion, and was pleased to see the firm achieve significant industry accolades and measurable ROI improvements across all Marketing metrics. Over her tenure, the firm achieved a 50-spot leap in brand strength and a major rise in client service and client relationship strength rankings to levels significantly disproportionate to the firm’s size.
Allison received her MBA from the Wharton School in Marketing, and her MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her BA in Chinese and Political Science at the University of Michigan, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Allison was inducted into the Kansas City Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Class of 2017, enjoys being on an active board member, and is a proud Helzberg Entrepreneurial Management Program (HEMP) Mentor. Allison is dedicated to her two teenage boys and husband, and loves her life based in Kansas City!
